Kristen leads the Cancer Immunotherapies Group at Mater Research, The University of Queensland. She is also the academic lead for the Human Immune Model Facility at the Translational Research Institute. Her research interests are focussed on understanding how the human immune system can be trained to recognise and fight cancer for the development of vaccines and immunotherapies.
Kristen brings expertise in the development and translation of cellular immunotherapies and in the application of preclinical models for testing human immune responses. Her leadership in this field is evidenced by 65 publications (H Index 29, 3176 cites) and more than 80 invitations to speak. She has attracted >$AUD 7 million in funding as a Chief Investigator and >$AUD 5 million as a Co-Investigator.
