Dr Timothy Evans

Dr Timothy Evans is Head of Research Development at the SMART CRC, leading the Centre’s research strategy and building a long-term pipeline of industry led, collaborative projects across its national partner network.
He works at the intersection of industry, research and government to strengthen Australia’s sovereign capability in regenerative therapy manufacturing, while supporting job creation and skills development.
Tim brings senior leadership experience across biopharmaceutical manufacturing, government and university technology commercialisation and combines scientific expertise with commercial insight to move research from discovery to delivery.
He holds a PhD in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from The University of Queensland and completed postdoctoral research at the University of California, San Francisco.
